That night, I felt like stepping behind the counter myself — sharpening blades, handing out skates, acting like I was just another working stuff. That’s when I saw them. He had the posture of a guy who thinks the world owes him something. She had the kind of beauty that makes men careless. He made a mistake — a big one. The kind that doesn’t get solved with apologies. The kind that ends with court dates and iron bars. Lucky for him, I don’t believe in luck. I believe in leverage. I made him an offer. I could smooth things over the way only I know how. All it would take was trust… and her cooperation. He didn’t have many options. And I always collect my due.
